More Java Gems presents the best articles and columns published in Java Report between 1997 and 1999. Dwight Deugo, Editor of Java Report, has carefully selected each article to be independent of any specific version of Java. The material relies mainly on those classes now part of the standard Java class library and APIs. Each article and column also discusses Java topics and implementations that are not readily available in a single book. Rich with real world applications by seasoned Java professionals, this excellent reference will help readers learn more about the Java language; perform analysis, design, and modeling; work on specific implementations; check performance; and perform testing. The book features articles from Martin Fowler, Kent Beck, Erich Gamma, and David Geary.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with this book. The examples felt outdated and some sections were confusing to follow. I had hoped for a more comprehensive guide based on the title. It’s okay for beginners, but I found it lacking overall.

Great Resource for Java Developers
I recently picked up the Sigs Reference Library Series Number 16 from More Java Gems and I'm really impressed. It's packed with practical tips and examples that have helped me in my day-to-day coding. If you're looking to enhance your Java skills, this book is definitely worth your time!

Mixed Feelings on Content Depth
This reference library has some solid information, but I expected a bit more depth in certain sections. It’s a decent read, especially if you're new to Java, but some topics could use more examples. Just a fair warning if you’re an advanced user looking for something deeper.
