This fourth edition of John Hermanns classic alpine motorcycle touring guide is the complete resource for any traveler to the high and twisty roads of Europe. Covering more area than any previous edition, Hermanns funtoread text has been throughly updated and expanded. New trips to the Pyrenees and the Picos de Europa mountain ranges in Spain have been added, the maps now have mountain relief backgrounds to highlight the topography, and many spectacular new pictures have been added. Every region of the Alps is covered: Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, and even special alpine lookalike places such as Corsica and Slovenia. All of the important roads and passes are described and critiqued. Each recommended trip has a detailed route description, easytofollow maps, advice on places to stay and things to do, and plenty of photographs. Local customs, history, and amusing travel anecdotes dot every page to enrich the journey. There is no other book like this one. It is the guide of choice for every motorcyclist who wants the trip of a lifetime to motorcyclings nirvana.

I was really looking forward to this book, but it fell short on maps. The journey descriptions are nice, but clearer navigation would be helpful. It's a good start for planning though!

Great for Planning but Lacks Some Details
This book has some fantastic routes for motorcycle trips, but I wish it included more about local attractions along the way. Still, it's a solid guide for any rider looking to explore the Alps!

An Epic Ride Through the Alps!
Just finished reading 'Motorcycle Journeys Through the Alps & Beyond' and wow, what a ride! The routes are detailed, and the photos are stunning. It really inspired my next trip!

Disappointing Quality for the Price
I had high hopes for this book, but the quality is just okay. The cover was dented when it arrived, and some of the routes felt outdated. Not what I expected for the price.

A Must-Have for Adventure Riders
Motorcycle Journeys Through the Alps is absolutely fantastic! The scenic rides described made me want to hop on my bike right away. I appreciate the adventure stories included as well!
