Dautres units de SS franais chappent au pige de la Pomranie : la compagnie de marche du lieutenant Ludwig et du souslieutenant suisse Bcler, qui combat pour maintenir oprationnel le port encercl de Kolberg, et un bataillon plac sous les ordres du capitaine dartillerie Martin, qui rejoint Gotenhafen, dans la rgion de Dantzig, et sera galement vacu par mer.Une partie de ces rescaps se retrouveront aux environs de Neustrelitz, dans le Mecklenbourg, o sera form, deux semaines avant la fin de la guerre, le bataillon dassaut franais engag Berlin. Ainsi, il se trouvera paradoxalement des Franais qui vont mourir pour Dantzig aux cts des Allemands, alors quen 1939, un journaliste, Marcel Dat, rcusait une telle intervention au profit des Polonais !
