Commenting On The Poetic Aspect Of Musaddas, Shamsher Says: Its Organization Seems Remarkably Strong. Not A Single Sentiment Is Repeated In Exactly The Same Form. The Threads Of The Entire Poem Are So Intertwined That If Even One Is Broken, The Beauty Of The Entire Poem Crumbles And Disintegrates. Musaddas-E-Hali Was Composed In 1879, At A Time When Indian Society, Especially Indian Muslim Society, Was Going Through A Period Of Decline And Despair After The Defeat In The 1857 Rebellion. Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali Composed It At The Request Of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan To Awaken The Community From This Situation. The Significance Of This Work Can Be Gauged From Sir SyedS Statement, If God Asks Me What I Did In This World, I Will Answer That I Got Hali To Write The Musaddas-E-Hali. Inspired By This, Maithili Sharan Gupt Wrote His Famous Work, Bharat Bharati, With Hindu Society In Mind, Which Was Published In 1913. Both Works, In Their Own Way, Call Upon The People Of India To Remember Their Glorious Past And Free Themselves From Illiteracy, Ignorance, And Mental Slavery. This Is An Authentic Text Of The Musaddas-E-Hali, Edited By The Renowned Hindi Storyteller Abdul Bismillah. In This Documentary Presentation, An Effort Has Been Made To Present To Readers The Original Text Of The Musaddas, Along With Its Background And Historical Significance. This Work Contains An Important Article By Shamsher Bahadur Singh, Known As The Poet Of Poets, Which He Wrote While Reading The Bharat Bharati And The Musaddas-E-Hali Simultaneously. It Also Includes Transcriptions Of HaliS Prefaces To The First And Second Editions.
