I've been foraging mushrooms for a few years now, and this guide from Mushrooms of Alaska really nailed it! The illustrations are clear and the descriptions are super helpful. I found some new types that I hadn't identified before. Highly useful for anyone interested in learning about Alaskan fungi!

Solid Resource for Beginners
This field guide is decent but could use a bit more detail in the descriptions of some mushrooms. I appreciate the layout, but a few of the species I encountered weren’t covered extensively. It's still a handy tool for someone starting out in mushroom foraging, just not the ultimate guide I hoped for.

Disappointing Quality
I received this guide with a few pages bent and the binding feels a bit cheap. I expected better from a Timber Press publication. The information is good, but the condition of the book was disappointing. I think I might look for a different guide next time.
