Upon graduation from high school, major studies in junior college, and vocationaltechnical school in Tacoma, WA Nils was planning a career in radiotelevision news broadcasting when he experienced a series of events that caused his major to change. He enrolled in Bethel Temple Bible School in Seattle where he met his wife. They married and moved to Japan where they have been living and working ever since.
