Kids are encouraged to sketch Before and After Drawings, put together a Comfort Kit to cope when theyre sad, or make an Activity Jar of things a loved one enjoyed before they died. The 25 prompts, games, exercises, and keepsake crafts were designed by author Brie Overton, the clinical director at the Experience Camps for grieving children. My Grief Comfort Book invites kids to take a creative break from the heaviness of their loss. As they draw, paint, share a story, or play a game, they build coping skills, manage their emotions, develop resilience, and make peace with their grief.

This book has some great ideas for helping kids cope with loss, but a few activities felt a bit too complex for younger children. My son enjoyed parts of it, but we had to simplify some tasks. Overall, it's a decent resource though.

A thoughtful resource for children
I got this 'My Grief Comfort Book' for my niece after her pet passed away. The creative activities really helped her express her feelings and keep the memories alive. The illustrations are beautiful too, which makes it inviting for kids!

Arrived damaged and missing pages
I was really disappointed when this grief book showed up with some pages ripped. It seemed like a great concept for helping kids deal with loss, but I can't give it a good review since it came in such bad condition. Had to return it.
