In this story, Lucy a very inquisitive girl wonders if she is like many different animals, all sharing a common name with her. Lucys mother helps her daughter see the positive attributes she shares with each one of these animals. In real life, the author, Lucy Judson, has met a lot of animals named Lucy. These include eight dogs, five cats, two cows, one elephant, one turtle, one monkey, one bear, one goat, one rabbit, one bird, one pig and even a chameleon. She loves to meet animals named Lucy except when she hears Lucy sit! Lucy stay! or Bad girl, Lucy! Lucy Judson is a Physician Assistant in Boulder, Colorado where she lives with her husband Craig Yager. They have two daughters, four grandchildren and two dogs neither dog is named Lucy.
