His work was included in Sweet Nothings (U. of Indiana Press), an anthology of poetry about rock 'n' roll. For the latter, he has written a series of books with money maven Neale S. Godfrey. He describes his relationship with money as 'much like Carl Sagan's relationship with the cosmosI can write about it, I can claim a certain expertise about it, but I can't get close to it.' He has also written novels and screenplays. He is married, has three children, two stepchildren, and four grandchildren.
