This is a unique kindergarten social studies course, introducing you to family and culture, what it is to be a good citizen, basic geography, and basic economics. It also includes a better understanding of Gods love for us, our families, and other people in the world.Central to this study is learning to love God more and to love people more. this reflects the heart of Christ: And you shall love the Lord you God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all you mind, and with all you strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:3031).This twodayaweek adventurebased curriculum encourages families to explore the world together through four nineweek quests and to understand it better from Gods perspective. It is designed with elements that make weekly learning fun and interactive, including Language time! Gods Scripture time Picture time! My Book time!As students work through the course, the teacher will be helping them create a story book of their year so they can reflect on who they are in their eyes and in Gods eyes. Make sure to pull out the Quest Collector Cards at the beginning of each quest. The world map on the other side shows where the language focus is for each lesson!

I really liked the idea behind the My Story K family book. It has a nice design and prompts for stories, but I wish there were more structured pages for photos. We ended up just adding sticky notes for pictures, which isn't ideal. Still a good starting point!

I was looking forward to using the My Story K book, but when it arrived, the cover was a bit scratched, and a few pages were bent. I contacted customer service, and they were helpful, but it was disappointing to receive it in that condition. I might order another one.
