This companion to My Very Own Bible is an appealingly sized book of prayers, packed full of words of reflection especially for young readers. The prayers are selected and written with care to reflect the world and concerns of children aged 57. They comprise a mixture of familiar, traditional material, new prayers and blessings, and paraphrases of some Bible prayers. Prereaders will enjoy the illustrations as the prayers are read to them, whilst the large, clear type will enable new readers to read the prayers themselves. Carolyn Cox's lively and vibrant illustrations complement the prayers, reflecting the mood and content of each subject.
