I had high expectations for this book based on the description, but the pacing was off. Some chapters dragged on and the mystery didn’t unfold as excitingly as I’d hoped. I had to push through to finish it, which was a bummer.

Nice mystery, but predictable at times
While I enjoyed the writing style of Myrtle Hardcastle's mystery, some parts felt a bit predictable. I was hoping for a few more surprises. Still, it’s an engaging read for a lazy afternoon, especially if you like a light mystery!
