Por tal motivo, este tipo de materiales pueden ser utilizados como dispositivos eficaces para la liberacin controlada de frmacos. La modificacin qumica de estos materiales inteligentes (con marcadores de superficie especficos), potenca su uso y permite llevar a cabo; adems de un proceso de liberacin controlada,un proceso de liberacin selectiva.
