Les travaux de ce livre ont port sur les dtecteurs infrarouges non refroidis. Deux voies ont t explores pour les amliorer, grce aux nanotechnologies. Dune part, les proprits optiques et lectroniques des films de nanotube de carbone ont t tudies afin dvaluer le potentiel de ce nouveau matriau comme thermistor. Pour ce faire des procds technologiques en salle blanche, des caractrisations et des modles thoriques ont t mis au point. Dautre part, nous avons tudi des rsonateurs sublongueur donde bass sur des cavits mtalisolantmtal permettant dobtenir des absorbants totaux, et omnidirectionnels. La combinaison de ces rsonateurs lchelle sublongueur donde a permis de mettre en vidence un phnomne de tri de photon et la possibilit de concevoir des absorbants large bande. Nous avons ainsi propos (et brevet) lutilisation de ces antennes comme absorbants pour les microbolomtres.
