This volume follows three riders on the Grand Prix show jumping circuit from the National Horse Show of November 1990 to the same show a year later. The riders are at different stages of their Kate Chope (a newcomer who has outgrown the Junior circuit), Beezie Patton (successful young campaigner) and Michael Matz (veteran, close to retirement). Those essential to the success of the sport (owners, farriers, grooms, vets, course designers) round out the picture of life in this exhilerating world. David Hollis is a photojournalist whose articles have appeared in 'The New York Times', 'Equus', 'The Morgan Horse', 'Horseman's Yankee Pedlar' and 'The Conservationist'.
