Esta obra describe la inversin de papeles que aconteci: de conquistadores a conquistados, y de dominantes a dominados. El autor da muestra de una nueva realidad, diferente a las antiguas descripciones de las ciudades de oro que haca Cristbal Coln, con ms objetividad que la mayora de los otros cronistas que describieron el ahora llamado 'encuentro de dos mundos'.
