Im Verlauf der franzsischen Kolonialgeschichte erwiesen sich die Siedler des entbehrungsreichen Nordens des Kontinentes als anpassungsfhig und auergewhnlich wehrhaft. Der folgende Beitrag unternimmt den Versuch zu zeigen, wie es dazu kam.
