The authors have a well established history of teaching and Lal Gunasekera has trained several generations of young aspiring surgeons. Adriaan Liebenberg has penned two other successful textbooks in neurosurgery (Neurosurgery for Basic Surgical Trainees, Hippocrates Books and Neurosurgery Explained, Vesuvius Books).
