I was looking for a light crossword experience but found some of the clues a bit tricky for 'rookie' level. It took longer than I thought to complete a few of them. Still good practice, just not what I expected. I like the paper quality though!

I bought the Rookie Crosswords from the New York Times as a way to unwind after work. The clues are challenging but not overwhelming, making it perfect for beginners like me. Plus, the layout is really nice and easy to read!

Damaged on arrival
Unfortunately, my Rookie Crosswords book arrived with a torn cover and some pages crinkled. I reached out for a replacement, but the process was slow. The puzzles seemed good, but I'm disappointed by the packaging issues. Wouldn't buy again unless they fix this.

Great for casual puzzlers
I got this as a gift for my sister who loves crosswords. She says the puzzles are just the right level of difficulty and really enjoyable. However, I wish it had a bit more variety; some themes felt repetitive. Still, it's a solid choice for casual puzzlers!
