Yiribas true motive is to uproot NGolo from the family to negate a prophesy predicting NGolos greatness. Yiriba hopes that in so doing, the prophesy will benefit one of his (Yiribas) offsprings instead. Events unfold in ways that only a few had the foresight to predict.
