Das vorliegende Werk wurde 2009 unter dem Titel "Nichtlinearitten und langes Gedchtnis im Finanzmarkt" als Diplomarbeit erstellt. Die Arbeit beschftigt sich mit der Schtzung und Prognose von Volatilitten fr verschiedene Aktienmarktindizes. Zur Schtzung der Volatilitt wurde das GARCH Modell verwendet, welches jedoch nicht die Vorzeichen der Rendite und die Abhngigkeit zwischen zeitlich lang entfernter Volatilitten langes Gedchtnis bercksichtigt, so dass zustzlich noch Erweiterungen des GARCH Modells fr die Volatilittsschtzung hinzugezogen wurden. Die Arbeit gliedert sich in einen theoretischen und empirischen Teil. Im theoretischen Teil werden die unterschiedlichen Modelle vorgestellt und ihre Strken und Schwchen diskutiert. Im empirischen Teil werden diese Modelle zur Schtzung und Prognose von Aktienmarktzeitreihen angewendet.
