I picked up Nine Princes in Amber based on recommendations but found it a bit slow to start. Once things picked up, it got better, but I still had a hard time connecting with the characters. Wouldn't say it’s my favorite fantasy read.

Nine Princes in Amber has a fantastic concept, but I felt the execution was lacking. Some plot points felt rushed or underdeveloped. I wanted more time spent on character backstories. It’s an okay read but not my favorite.
