I was sitting at my favorite coffee shop when I overheard a conversation about a missing family of four, who simply vanished without a trace. I was intrigued by this mystery and decided to investigate the case.Along the way, I was given access to information that even law enforcement did not possess and came to the belief that the family had voluntarily left the US and headed to South America.So, I journeyed to South America, convinced I would locate the family and learn why they had left so suddenly. I followed every verified sighting of the family from Merida, Mexico to Tamarindo, Costa Rica. It seemed that I was always just one step behind finding the family.I decided to publish my investigation and travels and wrote NO GOODBYES, which was published on the threeyear anniversary of the familys disappearance. I explored all the possible theories: Summer killed Joey, Joey left Summer, the four of them were on the run somewhere in South America. The book became a bestseller.Imagine my shock when the remains of all four family members were found in the high desert of Victorville, CA, in November of 2013. They had been murdered.It appeared that all the verified "sightings" of the family in South America were not accurate at all. The family had been murdered just days after they disappeared on Febrary 4, 2010.With this new tragic information, I decided to offer refunds to anyone who requested their money back. All my theories, had been just that; theories.The publisher of NO GOODBYES has long since gone out of business and copies of the book are hard to find.
