I bought this for my music studies class, and while the selection is excellent, I wish there were more detailed notes on each piece. The music itself is brilliant, of course, but the lack of context made it a bit harder to engage with at times.

I appreciate the selection of 20 works, but some of the recordings sound a bit dated. It’s great for casual listening, but audiophiles might want something clearer. Still, it’s a good starting point for anyone new to Beethoven!
