Much later, she read Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose. This experience inspired her to do extensive research on Sacagewea. She then continued her research into the lives of other women of the west who came from many backgrounds. their personality and character traits were juast as diversed, ranging from the puritanical to the promiscuous, the cruel to the selfish. Consequencently, their uniqueness and ambition set them apart in the tale of the developing territories..
