The book issues a strong challenge to Christians to move beyond praying emotionless, and unfeeling prayers, to really seeking to identify with the hurts, pains, and frustrations of those for whom we are praying. Using Jesus Christ as the model, he urges Christians to exhibit the same level of compassion for the lost that Jesus had.
