This version of the first edition of Numerical Recipes contains the original 200 routines translated into Pascal along with the tutorial text. In a single volume, Numerical Recipes in Pascal provides lucid, easytoread discussions of the most important practical numerical techniques for science and engineering. The programs contained in this book are also available as machinereadable code on the Numerical Recipes Code CDROM with Windows/Macintosh Single Screen License.

I picked up 'Numerical Recipes in Pascal' for my computer science class, and it's been a huge help. The explanations are clear, and the examples are really relevant. It's a solid guide for anyone into scientific computing!

Solid but a bit outdated
While I appreciate the depth of 'Numerical Recipes in Pascal', some parts feel a bit dated. The concepts are great, but I wish there were more modern examples or applications. Still worth a read for those learning the basics!

Not what I expected
I bought this book hoping for more practical applications, but it leans heavily on theory. If you're looking for hands-on coding projects in Pascal, this might not be the best fit. Just not what I needed right now!

A must-have for aspiring programmers
I got this book because I wanted to dive into scientific computing with Pascal, and it did not disappoint! The first edition covers everything you need to get started. If you're serious about learning, this is a must-have!

Helpful but tricky at times
'Numerical Recipes in Pascal' is packed with valuable information. However, I found some of the algorithms tricky to implement without clearer examples. It's a great book, but a few more detailed walkthroughs would help a lot!
