Over last decades Tomato yellow leaf curl virus disease is becoming a great problem in most of the tomato growing region of West Bengal, furthermore the residual effect of the injudicious use of chemical pesticide and fertilizer enhances its severity as well as creating imbalances in the ecosystem. Aiming to reduce this problem the research work is carried out at BCKV under different nutritional treatments comprising both organic and inorganic fertilizer (urea, single super phosphate muriate of potash, vermicompost and farmyard manure) disease index , whitefly population were recorded periodically at 15 days interval and yield were recorded at the time of harvest of crop. It was found that treatment F1OM2. Having 150kg ha1 N, 60kg ha1P, 60kg ha1 K, 64 qha1 FYM + 34 q ha1 VC is the best one in regards to yield and disease control. So the disease can be manage by the use of balance nutrition of the crop.
