Entscheidungen bei mehrfacher Zielsetzung spielen in der betrieblichen Praxis eine herausragende Rolle. Zur Lsung dieser Problematik sind eine Reihe von Nutzwertverfahren entwickelt worden, die ber die Bestimmung von Hhen und Artenprferenzen unter Verwendung einer additiven Wertaggregation zu einer globalen Prferenzordnung gelangen. Hierbei unterscheiden sich diese Methoden in ihren Anforderungen an die vom Entscheidungstrger zu spezifizierenden Prferenzinformationen, so da aufgrund der rein uerlich identischen mathematischen Struktur ihr hufig sehr sorglos betriebener Einsatz eine Flle von Problemen in sich birgt. In dieser Abhandlung werden das MautVerfahren, die (klassische) Nutzwertanalyse, sowie der Analytic Hierarchy Process und Oreste als Nutzwertverfahren identifiziert und hinsichtlich der bentigten Prferenzinformation klassifiziert. Hierzu wird eine tiefgreifende metheoretische Analyse durchgefhrt und Zusammenhnge zu grundlegenden Lsungsanstzen der Mehrzielentscheidungstheorie aufgezeigt. Anhand empirischer Studien werden Empfehlungen fr die Wahl eines Nutzwertverfahrens bei Vorliegen konkreter Prferenzinformation abgeleitet.
