It would appear that our favorite wandering character has still had more than his share of good luck and is still alive. Although he seems to be unlucky in love at times, but with a steady stream of stolen money from his unusual sources keeps coming in for him to spend any way he sees fit, it seems to take the edge off. But this time he is making a stand in his newly acquired winery, located in the mountains of Southern Oregon, near a small town of Roseburg, Oregon. But the people who want him dead also want everyone and everything he owns dead or burned to the ground, and that includes his watch dogs in Washington. We all wonder if he can endure as the bad guys gang up on him, making for a very enjoyable adventure and another novel worth keeping.
