This book offers a unique perspective on an important historical figure. Kenny's experiences are well articulated and give a haunting view of Belsen. The only downside was the font size, which could have been slightly bigger. Still worth the read!

A Must-Read for History Lovers
Absolutely loved 'Opening the Gates of Hell.' The author's writing really brings Herbert Kenny's story to life. The details surrounding Belsen are both chilling and captivating. Definitely recommend it to anyone interested in WWII history.

Interesting but Misleading Title
I found the book quite interesting, but the title made it sound more thrilling. It’s more of a biographical account than a dramatic retelling of events. Still informative, but it didn’t match my expectations based on the title. Just so you know!

Intriguing Read with Depth
I picked this up as a gift for my history buff friend, and he was glued to it. The untold story of Herbert Kenny really sheds light on a lesser-known aspect of Belsen. It’s not just a dry recount of events; it’s a narrative that pulls you in!

Disappointed with the Quality
Unfortunately, the copy I received had some pages that were damaged and the binding felt flimsy. The content is undoubtedly important, but the physical book itself didn't hold up well. I hope to get a replacement soon!
