In dieser Arbeit wird die Organisation komplexer Entscheidungen eingehend analysiert. Untersucht werden jene Entscheidungen in einem Unternehmen oder einer ofjentlichen Verwaltung, die nicht regelmdfJig auftreten und daher mit der normal en Organisation nicht zu bewdltigen sind. Bisher wurden nur einzelne Aspekte dieses Problems behandelt. So standen beim 'Organizational Development' verhaltenswissenschaftliche Gesichts punkte, im Rahmen von 'System Analysis' systemtheoretische Aspekte, in den Konzeptionen filr ein 'Management Information System' Fragen der Datenverarbeitung und beim 'Project Management' die Bewiiltigung kom plexer Aufgaben in erster Linie zur Diskussion. Die Organisation komplexer Entscheidungen wird in dieser Arbeit grund sdtzlicher angegangen. Hierbei bildet die Definition eines Problems den begrifflichen Rahmen filr die Berilcksichtigung einer grofJen Anzahl inter diszipliniirer Ansiitze. Unter Einbeziehung systemtheoretischer Elemente wird die Organisation als ein System mit bestimmten Problemeigenschaften beschrieben, und es werden die Schwierigkeiten aufgefilhrt, ein solches System zu gestalten. Es folgt die Darstellung des individuellen Entscheidungsprozesses. Unter suchungen ilber die kognitive Leistungsfiihigkeit des Menschen lassen seine geringe Informationsverarbeitungskapazitiit deutlich werden. Sie zeigen, wie klein seine Chance ist, komplexe Entscheidungen wirklich rational zu losen. MafJnahmen, die der Mensch ergreift, um trotz der Grenzen seiner Fiihig keiten eine zufriedenstellende Losung zu erreichen, werden analysiert. Dar auf aufbauend werden Methoden herausgearbeitet, um die Informations kapazitiit im Hinblick aUf optimale Entscheidungen zu erweitern.
