This monograph focuses on the housing developers in Malaysia from a strategic management perspective. The results of this study showed that the housing developers are not that innovative at the organizational level. There was a significant correlation between house design innovativeness and profitability. Product innovativeness was found negatively correlated with employee turnover. Competitive intensity moderated the relationship between three dimensions of organizational innovativeness namely (market, behavior, and design) and profitability. Overall, this study showed that housing developers who apply innovativeness tend to be more profitable and that competitive intensity in the housing industry in Malaysia plays an important role in the performance of these housing developers. This book also sheds some light on the phenomena of innovation and performance; it highlights the conceptualization, definition, and measurement of these important constructs.
