Written for dental students and practicing dentists, this second edition of a work originally titled Osseointegration in Dentistry: An Introduction is revised to take into account recent developments in the field, with new material on the placement of implants, abutment design, and the role of osseointegrated implants in more advanced procedures. Worthington is professor emeritus and former chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. I received this book in just a couple of days, which was impressive. The content is well-organized and really makes the concept of osseointegration accessible. I'm using it for my practice and it's been a big help!

Informative but Lacked Depth
This book offers a good introduction to osseointegration, but I was hoping for a bit more detail in some sections. It's still a decent overview if you're new to the subject, just know it won't cover everything you might expect.

Not What I Expected
I was looking for something more technical, and this overview was a bit too basic for my taste. It’s fine for beginners, but if you’re already familiar with osseointegration, you might not find it useful.

Perfect for Dental Workshops
I bought this book for a workshop I'm attending, and it’s been a great resource so far. The explanations are straightforward, making it easy to grasp the key points about osseointegration. Happy with my purchase!

As a dental student, I found this overview on osseointegration incredibly helpful. The concepts were presented clearly and the illustrations were a nice touch. Definitely recommend it for anyone studying dentistry!
