El periodista Fernando Chaves Espinach cita en su artculo del Perdico La Naci Jorge Boccanera ha sido, por muchos aos, amigo de Costa de sus versos, sus poetas y sus paisajes. Residi aqu entre 1989 y 1997, y en esos aos naci Palma Real, un poemario que se reedita ahora acompaado de fotografas de Luciano Capelli. "Palma Real es una especie de diario de viaje, sus anotaciones acercan la sensualidad del paisaje, el silbido de la memoria, los rboles talados de mi generacin, los insectos que devoran con sus mandbulas las hojas crepitantes, el follaje con las vsceras y muchos interrogantes al aire", explic el autor "Surgi de mis recorridos por Tortuguero, Corcovado, Barra del Colorado, Dos Ros de Upala, o en la Tigra, arriba, en Monteverde, donde alguien escribi para el viajero estos dos mensajes que me 'Escucha, huele, mira'; 'Deja solo tus huellas'", dice el poeta. El libro gan el VIII Premio Casa de las Amricas de Poesa Americana.
