Cook is a transformational speaker and a highly trusted Los Angeles area authority creating effective communicators. She grew up on the south side of Chicago where she eventually became an 'A Better Chance' scholar graduating from North Shore Country Day School. Dimitria holds a MFA in Theatre from the University of Southern California, a BS in Journalism and BA in English, both from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is a lifetime member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Dimitria has studied with internationally known teen life coach Tami Walsh and she has been a middle school and high school teacher, advisor, and mentor. In addition, Dimitria has frequently served on A Better Chance/Morgan Stanley career panels and she has served on the Los Angeles Step Up Women's Network Teen Programs Committee. Dimitria has designed transitional programming for after school sixth grade youth. She has also created selfconfidence and selfesteem programming and communication programming for youth.
