El proceso de enseanza aprendizaje de los nios y nias involucra la participacin de la familia, a travs de la Asociacin de Padres de Familia (APAFA), la misma que est reglamentada por el Ministerio de Educacin. De esta manera, se viene legitimando su participacin en la gestin de centros educativos, con mayor consideracin en escuelas de Educacin Bilinge Intercultural EBI. Sin embargo, la participacin de la familia no slo se concentra en instancias organizativas mencionadas, sino que su intervencin se dinamiza en el nivel familiar y su colaboracin est vinculada directamente al apoyo en las tareas escolares que desarrollan los nios. La intervencin de la familia trasciende y contribuye a reforzar la adquisicin de conocimientos, habilidades y destrezas del nio. Estas prcticas de apoyo, no estn sistematizadas en el marco de las polticas educativas. Por ello, es necesario resaltar la importancia y la reincorporacin de las experiencias de intervencin de la familia en los quehaceres educativos de los nios.
