La Educacin Inicial est concebida como una etapa de atencin integral al nio y a la nia desde su gestacin hasta cumplir los seis aos. Esta atencin se desarrolla a travs de las modalidades de atencin convencional y no convencional, con participacin de la familia y la comunidad. Siendo esta participacin un camino difcil de recorrer. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo general proponer un desarrollo instruccional para la formacin del docente en el proceso de participacin de la familia y la comunidad en la educacin inicial. Metodolgicamente se estructura como un proyecto especial apoyado en una investigacin de campo y enmarcada dentro del modelo de Desarrollo Instruccional (Szczurek, 1990). El diseo consisti en la elaboracin de una gua de orientaciones para el apoyo a la labor docente referido a la participacin familiar y comunitaria en la Educacin Inicial. Se evalo el producto a travs del modelo de evaluacin propuesto por Dorrego (1991) y el apoyo de expertos en contenido y diseo.
