I bought this book thinking it would be more about Tokyo itself, but it focuses a lot on memories from ancestors. The writing is decent, but unfortunately, it didn't hold my interest. Wouldn't recommend it if you want a fast-paced story.

I liked the concept of 'Passage to Tokyo' and some stories were gripping, but I felt a few chapters could’ve used more depth. It was good enough to finish, though. Just not my favorite read this year.
