Auch acht Jahre nach der Wie dervereinigung Deutschlands deutet unsere Gesellschaft auch jenseits der Wiederkehr der alten und neuen Armut im Reichtum auf gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen und (zumeist uneinlsbare) erlebnisorienierte Glcksver sprechen hin, die (post)moderne Zge aufweisen. Die Zeichen der Zeit ste hen nach wie vor auf Globalisierung, Mediatisierung, Enttraditionalisierung, Pluralitt, und Flexibilisierung. Heterogene, ambivalente, viel und mehr deutige, uneinheitlichfragmentierte, ambivalente, dezentrierte, paradoxale, ironischhedonistische und vor allem utopieskeptische Kulturen der Lebens fhrung und Weltbilder wurden vornehmlich in den 80er Jahren mit dem catchallterm (post)Moderne in Verbindung gebracht. In den spten 90er Jahren spricht man stattdessen nicht nur in den einschlgigen sozialwissen schaftlichen (Re )Konstruktionen nach dem Parforceritt durch die vielen modischen Postismen eher von Reflexiver oder Zweiter Moderne (Giddens 1997; Beck 1997). Auf der einen Seite werden in nahezu allen Lebensbereichen fr die Menschen sehr viele Chancen und einzigartige Wahlmglichkeiten erffnet.
