Nonattendance for outpatient appointment results in a myriad of ineptitude, disorganization and ineffectiveness. Patients nonattendance is a major problem for the health provider and hospital management in terms of cost and productivity. Few studies have sought to understand factors responsible for nonattendance in outpatient physiotherapy compared to others health professions. This book presents a study that investigated the rate of initial nonattendance for outpatient physiotherapy, assessed the perceptions of physiotherapists on factors influencing patients nonattendance and also identified patients at risk of missing an appointment by using a prediction model.
