Esta investigacin aborda la ecologa del ensamblaje de peces de una quebrada en la Amazonia colombiana. En este pequeo afluente del ro Amazonas se tiene registrado a la fecha, la mayor riqueza ctica para este tipo de ambientes con 173 especies. En el estudio se analizaron principalmente aspectos de la composicin taxonmica y caracterizacin del ensamblaje, estacionalidad y conectividad. Finalmente, se estudiaron de manera detallada los cambios trficos, las estrategias de vida y aspectos reproductivos durante tres temporadas del ciclo hidrolgico, de los Characidos Tetragonopterus argenteus, Ctenobrycon hauxwellianus, Moenkhausia melogramma y Hemigramus belottii, as como del Cichlido Bujurquina sp.
