We just dont want it something ordinary; make it something peculiar. The Postmaster General took him at his word. Hazie Privette only set foot in Peculiar when family pressures dictated. The last time was three years ago for her greatuncles funeral; now it was for her greataunts funeral. Dying pretty much described the dusty Panhandle town. The empty store fronts and the aging population testified to a community that both the interstate and a chance for prosperity had bypassed 40 years before. So she was intent on making this stay as short as possible. She would bite her tongue and keep the peace with her three remaining greataunts: Mae, Bertha, and Clare. That was before her only cousin, Ben, showed up. And that was before they read Uncle Loneys and Aunt Auggies wills. And that was before everything became a lot less ordinary in Peculiar.
