Often employing common, simple materials, his work touches on issues of space, architecture, and memory, with a suggestive power of association that goes beyond the visual to the level of metaphor. This lavishly illustrated publication provides a comprehensive overview of the artist's work from the mid80s to the present, and includes writings by the artist as well as bibliography and thumbnail catalogue raisonna.About the AuthorPedro Cabrita Reis was born in 1956 in Lisbon. His work has been featured in international exhibitions such as Documenta IX and the XXIV S o Paulo Biennial, and he represented Portugal at the 50th Venice Biennale this past summer.
