The book deals with the study of peer conformity or peer pressure on adolescents. Employing a mixed approach of both quantitative and qualitative techniques, the effect of 16 personality variables on the conformity process was researched. Also studied was the distinction made between perceptual and moral tasks to see whether there was a change in the dynamics of peer conformity when subjects were being called upon to make value based judgements.
