El conjunto, que cuenta con veintitrs ttulos de gnero variado, apuntan mostrar las distintas formas de la percepcin de la realidad. A como una persona es capaz de percibir y vivir su vida segn su estado de nimo, su pasado, una enfermedad, su entorno, una pasin o simplemente otra persona. Cada uno de los relatos cuenta historias diversas en cuanto a gnero, ubicacin en el tiempo y extensin, aunque todos comparten la misma caracterstica principal; narracin en primera persona. El objetivo principal del libro es que el lector sienta lo que el personaje; sufra, se alegre y viva cada historia como si fuese propia. Con ello, el poder de hurgar en mentes ajenas y ver situaciones ordinarias y diarias desde otra perspectiva. Desde un enfoque donde el protagonista logra, o no, resolver sus dificultades u obstculos, acarreando por el trayecto emociones, sentimientos y cuestiones, pudiendo salir del inconveniente, rendirse o morir.
