The van der Pol equations are related to the socalled selfexcited dynamical systems arising in many models of mechanics, electronics, and biology. This book presents the applications of degree theory to set up a standard framework for analyzing the van der Pol systems with symmetric, which provides an equivariant topological information about the existence of solutions and their symmetric properties, and illustrated by several examples. The equivariant degree computational techniques are based on the reduction to the socalled basic maps and the usage of the splitting lemma and multiplicativity property.
