Es bietet sich an, zunchst wichtige Aspekte der psychologischen Persnlichkeitsforschung darzulegen. Da will ich als Erstes den Persnlichkeitsbegriff definieren. So will ich als Nchstes den Gegenstand der Persnlichkeitspsychologie enger fassen mit grundlegenden Faktoren. Als weiteren wichtigen Punkt will ich die Aufgaben der Persnlichkeitsforschung beschreiben. Da die Arbeit Persnlichkeitsentwicklung im Alter thematisiert, mchte ich die allgemeinen dazu Feststellungen vorstellen und den Stand der empirischen Forschung erlutern. Im Zusammenhang mit dem Alter will ich auf die Persnlichkeitsentwicklungen der zweiten Lebenshlfte nach C. G. Jung grndlich eingehen. Zunchst ist von mir ber seine Sichtweise ber das Werden der Persnlichkeit schreiben. Bevor ich auf die Typen verschiedener Persnlichkeit eingehe, will ich seine Grundgedanken, aus denen seine Theorie entstanden ist, kurz zusammenfassen. In den folgenden beiden Abschnitten beschreibe ich den Typus der Extraversion sowie Introversion. Im nchsten Kapitel fasse ich die Beschreibung C.G. Jungs ber die Lebenswende zusammen, indem ich zuerst einmal die allgemeine Problematik des Kulturmenschen, dann die Bewusstseinsstufen und als Letztes die zweite Lebenshlfte errtere.
