Die vorliegende Evaluation verfolgte das Ziel, die persnlichkeitsstrukturellen Entwicklungen und die Vernderung der psychopathologischen Symptome von 44 PatientInnen zu untersuchen, die sich in einer stationren psychodynamischen Behandlung in der Ostschweiz befanden. Als Messinstrumente wurden Selbst und Fremdbeurteilungsinstrumente eingesetzt, wie die Operationalisierte Psychodynamische Diagnostik (OPD) und die Heidelberger Umstrukturierungsskala, welche das Konstrukt der Persnlichkeitsstruktur und deren Vernderung empirisch abbildet. Die erzielten Ergebnisse zeigen auf, dass ber die Symptomverbesserung hinaus wichtige Reifungsprozesse in der Persnlichkeitsstruktur in Gang gesetzt wurden. Desweiteren wurden Prognosekriterien identifiziert, die den Behandlungsverlauf gnstig beeinflussen knnen. Neben eines Effektivittsnachweis fr psychodynamische stationre Psychotherapie liefert die Studie relevante Befunde fr die klinischen Praxis. In der Schweiz wurde die psychodynamische stationre Psychotherapie bisher kaum untersucht.
