Gerade durch die Globalisierung der Mrkte und der stndigen Vernderung der Rahmenbedingungen und des Wertewandels mssen sich Unternehmen immer schneller an neue Mrkte, neue Bedrfnisse und neue Erwartungen anpassen. Dabei darf allerdings nicht die langjhrige Mitarbeiterfrderung auer Acht gelassen werden, damit die Konkurrenzfhigkeit zu anderen Unternehmen und anderen Lndern erhalten bleibt. Diese Arbeit beschftigt sich im ersten Teil mit den theoretischen Erkenntnissen von Coaching und vertieft diese mit einer empirischen Untersuchung in genossenschaftlichen Kreditinstituten. Die Theorie beinhaltet die Einfhrung in die Thematik Coaching in Kapitel zwei. Dabei wird auf die Definition von Coaching und Coach eingegangen, Anlsse fr Coaching werden beschrieben, auf die Klrung der Grundsituation bei Coaching wird eingegangen, Sozialkompetenzen, die weiter entwickelt werden, werden vorgestellt, Coaching Tools fr den Coach werden erlutert und zu Letzt wird auf den Aufbau und die Pflege eines Coaching Beraterpools eingegangen. Die empirische Untersuchung hat das Ziel die Thematik Coaching im genossenschaftlichen Bereich zu untersuchen. Dabei wurde die Hypothese aufgestellt, dass genossenschaftliche Kreditinstitute das Personalentwicklungsinstrument Coaching nicht ausreichend kennen und einsetzten. Mit Hilfe eines Fragebogens wurden 17 Fragen konzipiert, um diese These zu prfen und zu bewerten. Dabei wird die Untersuchungsmethode vorgestellt, die vier Hauptbereiche des Fragebogens werden vorgestellt und ausgewertet und zum Schluss erfolgt eine Zusammenfassung der Untersuchungsergebnisse.
